This event will be a community run/walk followed by coffee & conversations. Friendship Miles’ values are inclusivity, connection, diversity, empathy, and integrity. You can connect with the group on Instagram by searching @friendshipmiles or on Facebook by searching “Friendship Miles Grand Rapids”. This event will be hosted by Rise Bakery and Squibb Coffee at their West side location. I will be collecting signatures following the event.

Lyon Street Run Club is a community run group that meets every Tuesday at 6am rain or shine! They rotate locations monthly to bring exposure to different local coffee shops and strive to be an inclusive run group for all individuals. Whether you are new to running, or a seasoned marathon runner, this group is for you. The group runs 3, or 5, miles and has a walking group as well. They have been a community staple for me, and I will be there this Tuesday collecting signatures for those who would like to sign. Their location for the month of February will be Morning Ritual.

I will be having open office hours for people to stop by for conversations and to collect signatures for my petition to make the ballot. I will be attending Climate Cafe Grand Rapids’ event at Last Mile Cafe from 7pm - 8:30pm. The group’s goal is to serve as “a non-judgemental space open to anyone in Grand Rapids down to share eco-emotions within a group setting and justice orientation.
